Once quarantine started, I found myself with a lot more free time than usual, so what would be a better use of my time than to start drawing a lot more? That's when I got the idea: commissions.
Given everything that has been going on with COVID-19, I wanted to be able to contribute to help out somehow. Art was something that I loved to do and was doing a lot of anyway, so I started to reach out to my friends, my parents' friends, and my neighbors seeing if they were interested in my drawing some of their pets. Pets have become a big part of our lives during quarantine, a spot of brightness in what's a very trying time.
The money that I receive from these commissions with go to foundations like Disha Foundation (an organization which is near and dear to my heart after volunteering there in India) and others in the area that focus on helping minorities and those of lower socioeconomic backgrounds get back on their feet during COVID-19, as they are the ones that have been hit the hardest.
